Money and customer protection

Payment instructions and construction releases need documented authority and evidence. The actual agreement and account mandate define the protections for a particular transaction.

Every payment needs a defined purpose, responsible company and authorised destination. A company name, a staff badge or an account number alone does not establish that a payment request is valid for a particular purchase.

Afrihood's model requires designated project accounts, documented authority and records linking receipts to the relevant customer and development obligation. Each project's executed account mandate must establish how those controls operate. This requirement is not a claim that every existing project already has those arrangements in place, or permission to use project money for unrelated developments.

Under the model, construction releases require supporting evidence, the applicable professional certification and authorised approval. The executed mandate defines the licensed bank or appointed account provider's duties and release conditions. The platform does not create a universal escrow or trustee guarantee. Pay only to the designated account named in your own agreement, after independently confirming the instructions through an official channel. No executive, employee or intermediary should receive customer money personally.

For a customer, the practical essentials are approved payment instructions, a record of the payment and a way to resolve discrepancies. Refunds, cancellations and remedies follow the applicable agreement and approved process, not an assumption that every payment is refundable.

Verify a payment request through an independently confirmed official channel before acting, especially if the destination changes. Verification can confirm approved details; it cannot eliminate every transaction risk or guarantee a project's outcome.

The executed mandate governs release. A missing certification or approval stops the instruction.
